285 max is recommended no matter what anyone else says. 295 is not recommended. I'm pretty sure xsta z28 will chime in. Also, the extra 10mm of width isn't really worth it. You probably end up paying about $20/tire over the same model 285 or 275. If you want to go with a tire that looks wide and bad ***, go with a GSD3 if you can find them.

I run a 295/35 on my 11" wide rims in my sig. Personally, I don't think you gain much of anything by running a wider tire if all you are trying to get is traction. Traction is all about the compound and sidewall stiffness. If you are going for looks, just get the recommended width for the rim you are using and be done with it. To wide of a tire on too narrow of a rim looks just as bad as too skinny of a tire on too wide of a rim.

Yeah very true. i was going to get some 18" Z06's but i think im going to stick with the chrome ZR1's 17's are cheaper also
