Damaged Cylinder Head! Need Some Advice!
I was just driving down the road at 50 mph or so and all of a sudden I hear a ticking noise coming from under the hood. It sounded like a lifter almost but then some time down the road it went away. When i went in to see if i could see anything wrong this is what i found. There has only been about 500 miles on the heads (Patriot LS6 Stage II's ). So much for selling the car now.
Pic 1, 2, and 3 are the only damaged cylinder. It was all from the one on the drivers side closest to the driver. (Cant remember the cylinder number and Too lazy to look it up.)
Pic 4 is of the one next to it just wondering if this was normal for the head to look this way after only 500 miles.
Can they still be ran or is there a way to fix them?
Thanks!

Maybe it sucked a piece of metal or something through it?

The cylinder walls were fine. You could still see cross hatches on them. The piston had some lighter scratches on the top of it.
I did pull both of the heads and nothing bad on the other side. The only other damage was an extremely small knick on another combustion chamber but its so small its not even worth mentioning. And here is the fourth picture.

Rocker arms? How would something like that have gotten into the combustion chamber? Wouldn't that have made my oil have metal shavings and needle bearings? Is the head still usable. Is that something that patriot could fix? Thanks For the help! Keep it coming boys!

Unless I'm missing something...It doesn't look like the heads caused this in any way.

Yea. I dont think anyone was thinking that the head caused this. Just trying to figure out mostly if the head was useable and what could have caused this so it doesnt happen again. Thanks For the Advice Guys!
