Default 2002 ta questions..

well im looking around and our family "car dealer" as i can say has an 02 ta w/ 48k miles on it.. 1 owner.. i drove it, rides great no piston slap or tick from the rockers.. in personal experience do you think 48k miles is high? how long have ls1's known to last with respected maintenance?

With the proper maintance they should last well over 150000 on stock internals. If you want to you could always rebuild it arround 150000 and build a stroker with forged internals and that should last you another 200000+. Go for it i love mine and would not hesitate to buy another. Good luck to you

Scan through the mileage thread in this forum....there are lots of us in the six figure zone when it comes to mileage.

That's not high at all. People seem to be camming there cars at 100K. There are many, MANY miles left in that motor. That's below average for a 2002 year vehicle anyways. Average per year now is like 15K I believe.
