Default Oil leak

I posted this in general maintaince but no help

I have an oil leak coming from somewhere in the vicinity of the oil filter assembly... its leaking down the filter and then moving to the bell housing..

Does anyone have a pic of the assembly? On the assembly above the filter I have a feed line to the turbo and there is a gasket there on the assembly that looks like it might be the problem possibly..

anyone?

Did you recently replace your oil pump at all? Could be that your oil pan is missaligned and not sealing properly. Also did you drill and tap out the part for the oil temp gague if so some times that leaks and it is just above the oil filter. Good luck

I dont think the pan is misaligned.. it was leaking prior to the installation of everything.. its centered around the oil filter housing... there are 2 bolts with a gasket and it seems to be leaking there and draining on the oil filter

Another thing to check is make sure that the rubber gasket that comes with the oil fileter did not stick on there. When you put a new one on there it will not seal right and will leak. Other than that i dont know what it could be, maybe try the internal section. Good luck
