Default Fast 36# injectors

I am building a 402 for my 99 Z28 w/ heads, a ms3 cam and bolt ons (also it might see a 100 shot later down the road). I talked to Jon at TSP and he recommended Fast 36# pound injectors for my set up when I asked him about the 42# that most people seem to run. He said that he uses smaller injectors on his 408 and spays a 200 shot. I trust Jon, but I am trying to figure out why most people run a huge injector then. Maybe I am completely off track but when I called Fast about the 36#, they said it was rated at 46psi. Is this why 36# would be good for my set up, because at 58 psi they should act like an injector closer 46#.

36 injectors are good for around 525 Flywheel HP (450 wheel HP) @ .5 BSFC, %80 Duty cycle, and 58 rail PSI.

Id go with 42lb injectors.

I'd agree with the above...
I know of no inj mfgrs that use 46psi to rate their products.. [At least have seen none in the 10 yrs I've been doing injector flow testing/cleaning.]
If they are rated at 46psi, then running that inj at 58PSI, will not produce a flow of 46PPH.. It will produce a flow of 40.42PPH...
