Default car dosent idel right with out tranny

I took my 4l60e out to see if thats where a noise was coming from in my car.. i plugged the rear 02 sensors back up then i started it its isnt ideling right is this beause the tranny isnt hooked up or is it possible maybe i just unplugged somthing... it tries to fix the idel it idels up and down trying to smooth out but eventualy it dies unless i keep the rpms up... any help would be great... i was thinking maybe i pulled somthing loose pulling the dipstick out or just rocking the motor by pulling on the tranny

I would agree you may have something pulled loose , Also a word of advice make sure that the wiring harness is clear I have seen then wrap up in the flex plate when doing that and its a mess I would try however plugging in the PRNDL switch also as the Engine idle may ajust to some amount based on gear selection .

There is a chance that without the tc it throws of the crank weight, if that makes sence.

That is of course possible but I have run many engines with the converter unbolted and slide back away from the flex plate which would probably have been the easy way to have looked for this noise and i have not run into idle problems
