Default Location of oil pickup in pan

How far off the floor of the pan are the stock oil pickups? I have a Cadillac CTS-V pan, so comparing to an F-Body, Corvette or GTO pan might make the most sense.

Thanks, -Dave

I don't have a firm number of what the factory does.

But when I built the pan for my truck, I set the pickup about 3/8" off the bottom. Low enough that it should always be fully covered, but not so close that it causes a restriction. It should be noted that my pan has a fairly small deep sump (about 5" wide front to back and 8" across) so mine will tolerate being too far away better than some other pan layouts. I started with a truck pickup and ended up shortening it (what a cluster event that was) by about 1" to work with my fabbed pan.
