I figured I would give it a try on here... My rear end just broke today and I am in need of a trailer to haul this bitch. Would anyone possibly have one that I could borrow?

I was hoping to get it hauled to Baltimore MD by tomorrow morning. I know it's short notice, but I figured I would give it a try. That or I spend ~$100 that I barely have in the first place to rent a U-Haul trailer. Thanks.

Sorry to hear about the car :(. I had the same thing happen to me and couldnt find a trailer. We ended up finally locating a used rear in PA and drove in Tim's DD to get it. I'm sending you a PM....there is a friend but he's all the way in Fredericksburg.

BTW...do you think that problem you're having with the tranny caused it to break??

Nah, I got a diff and 3.42 gears installed. They were used but in perfect condition. I made it back home but if I give it like 40% throttle, it would go crazy. Ended up breaking in town.

So did you pull the cover off??

No, I didn't pull the cover off. I didn't think it was necessary and not to mention it is dark out. Once it broke I thought it was the converter cause the car wouldn't stay even in Park. Cause doesn't the transmission hold the car? But anyways, I put it in drive and looked under the car. The driveshaft was spinning but the car won't move. Thats when I knew it was the rear end.

Hmmmm....the tranny could've messed up the rear but what's the rear doing...noises etc when the problem started?

It doesn't make any noise when I put it in R or D and give it gas. The speedo will go up though. If I put it in park, a TICK TICK TICK TICK will happen from a decending speed. I believe its the hook holding on the to gear to stop from rolling. I'm sure its the rear.

Tim might be able to help you with this if you want to talk to him I can give you his cell. I've been relaying your posts to him while he's working today. He said we can probably stop over to see what's going on with your car if you want. Send me a pm if you want him to come take a look for ya.

Well Jason came and picked up my car a while ago with his trailer. I had a choice to rent a trailer+truck at my own expense or come down and get his. But he ended up coming down to me to make things right. He is fixing it for free and it'll be ready tomorrow. Fingers crossed

I didn't mention anything about the pictures. He's a good guy and with you two on my side, I don't think he will go hostile.

Now I just need my hatch. Chris hasn't called me yet. I'll have to give him a ring tomorrow.

Sounds good. I'm sure everything will be good with you car with Jason working on it. Chris hasnt called me back either about the tint price but I know that he's going through a personal tough time right no and is pretty busy. He's also the only one running the shop currently too

Well good news. Jason called me up tonight and had it done in no time. So I just got back from picking up my car. He took it to his house so he wouldn't have to wait around all night. Had some nice cars aswell. I'm beat.
