Why this site rules
You know, we've got a good bunch of people here. When someone asks a question, generally it gets answered in a timely manner with the correct information. This is probably one of the ONLY sites I see this on. I joined up on the Corral to get info on my Mustang and even though there are like 10 times the members there, no one ever seems to take the time to answer the simplest of questions. Not only that, I've already seen a bunch of misinformation. For instance: I was told that I'd need to get the car tuned to change the speedo for a gear swap. Then I was told I just needed a speed-cal to fix the speedo after a gear swap. Turns out I need a $10 speedo gear to do it. All those people and no one seems to know anything. I'm just glad my main focus is my LS1 car and that I have this wealth of knowledge at my fingertips. Cheers!

Everywhere you go you will see misinformation. I've seen alot on this site actually, but the good news is other members are quick to jump on said user. So it gets corrected quickly. Just look at the users post count, and then take the information they give you with that in mind.
But thanks!

it makes sense though that overall an LS1 site like this would be better then a mustang site (overall). in general, people who buy LS1 cars are enthusiasts, where as in general people who buy mustangs are only one step away from being ricers, lol. seriously though, while mustangs arn't bad and there are lots of great mustang guys who know whats up, MOST people who buy mustangs are buying it becase, well, its a MUSTANG, DUH!. you get my point, lol.
so, i'd guess that since the ratio of informed owner/enthusiast to average joe/tool/ricer is much closer with the LS1 then the mustang that the LS1 site overall would be the better site.

I see it here too, usually from a newer member that's just gotten to the point where they feel comfortable enough with their LS1 knowledge to start answering questions, but they still haven't been around long enough to be 100% on their facts/info.
That's why it's usually good to wait for a couple replies to your question before you consider it fact, just to make sure everyone agrees. Especially if the first reply is from a somewhat new member.......
.......that is unless of course I was the one answering the question. In that case, one reply is all you need to consider it fact.
