Me and a friend were taking some pictures in a real secluded area in my city (usually), and after an hour and a half of some night shots we decided to do a couple burnout pictures on the way out. Here's what happened:

Cop walks up to the window and says (hilariously) "Welp, gimme your license." Said it in a funny tone too. Got a "Rapid Accelaration in a Parking Lot" ticket. Fortunately, it's a non-moving violation and is only $128. I asked him; "So if I would have done this same thing in the street instead of a parking lot I would be on my way to jail?" To which he replied, "Definitely."

Why in the hell is a burnout "illegal"? Just another way to make money.

If you were just doing a burnout, technically you were not accelerating! FIGHT IT

I thought the same thing, but I think it's impossible to win. The tires are probably what is considered "accelerating," which they most certainly are.

I have horrible luck when it comes to cops. I can drive for tens of miles without seeing one and the second I go WOT there's one right on my ass.

Sadly, this scenario sounds all-too familiar. :(

By the first pic it appears you may be near Ameriquest Stadium behind the light industrial park to the east of the stadium?

That was my friend, but yeah, the cop was surprisingly cool.

And to answer Vortexx- Yes! That's exactly where it is. (There's a train we shoot in front of there).

Same shit would happen to me, I keep my burn outs built up inside till I get to the track. That 128 could buy me a line locker!! -Good luck with the ticket -Dave

I don't know about where you guys live, but here in NC, a burnout is considered reckless driving... 3 points on your license.
