Like the title says, I can't find anyone who sells dished pistons for a 3.903/5 bore / 4.00 stroke / 6.125 rod. All I can find is like -7cc, which is only good for a 9.9 compression ratio using 6.0L 72cc heads. I'm looking to get 9.0 ~ 9.5 compression with LQ9 heads; so I'm needing a dished piston somewhere in the -11 to -17 range. Can anyone point me in the right direction on where to find these?

Yeah, they can custom make a set... for $250 MORE than the standard off the shelf stock

I did find these Lunati Pistons that have -10cc. They are for a 4" stroke / 6.125 rod / 3.899 bore- which would put me at 9.6:1 CR. But the only thing I don't understand is the bore of 3.899?? Isn't the standard bore 3.898? No way a machine shop could hone .001 could they??

You are right in that most stroker shelf pistons are made for a CR of about 11:1 with a 60ish CC combustion chamber or about 8.75:1 with a 70ish CC combustion chamber. I am building a 408 N/A Stroker for my daily driver truck and I want to keep the static CR at 9.5:1 so that I can run 87 octane. Assuming that I use 72 CC combustion chamber heads, this results in a -18 CC dish on the pistons. I now have some -18 CC custom Wiseco pistons with a 1.105" compression height. You won't find the pistons you are looking for without going to a custom piston unless some company has recently started marketing them recently and I don't know about it.

Most folks want relatively high compression for normally aspirated applications with high octane fuel or relatively low compression for forced induction. There isn't much in between with shelf pistons.

well the mahle #ls1105905126 will work awesome, but it is a 3.905" piston, i would rather hone the block over, than buy a custom set myself. they are also a -26cc dish.

-26cc is way too deep. That would put me at 8.3 CR with 72cc heads or 8.7 with 67cc heads. I want at least 9.0. I'd preffer something in the range of 9.2~9.5...

Its looking like it may come down to that... I'd rather make up the extra cc's in the head, but doesn't look like its possible with whats on the market

I know exactly what you are going through. Last year at this time I was thinking the same issues through. I wound up just getting a 408 short block and called it a day......good luck.

Diamond 11574, 28cc, Diamond 11504, 7cc. Or pony up and get what you need. Me, that's what I'd do. Plenty more where that went.

well, you can always get about 2cc more out of the chamber, bringing you to 74, thicken the gasket up, i personally wouldn't go over .060, gasket bore size, but that only helps a little. you would think buy now, most of these companys would have a shelf stock piston is that range.
