Pretty pissed
So I spend 6 hours on Monday and Tuesday giving the old boxster the full Zaino treatment for the winter. The car is rarely driven (about a 100 miles a month and is kept inside so I made sure to do a real thorough job so it will last a while). SOo yesterday I take it down to the stealership to get them to look at the top as it is starting to crease when being put down and on the way a bird ***** on the hood. I was pretty pissed but oh well, **** happens (pun intended). So I come home with it last night put it away, and am gonna deal with it in the morning. So this morning I wake up, go to the gym and come to see the boxster sitting in the drive way with water all over it. I go inside to see whats up and I find out...My mom didnt want birdshit on the hood so she decides to wash the entire car with a wash cloth and dawn soap and not dry it off. I was sooo pissed. She strips everything off, washes it with terrible towels and doesnt even dry it. I guess its good that my PC is coming this week so that i can spend another couple days getting the paint looking good. I am gonna have to leave specific instructions when I am down at school to not touch anything.

You can't be mad at her, her intentions were good. Just be mad at the situation.
What was the point of giving it the zaino treatment if your PC is coming in a week anyways?

True I cannot be too mad at her, she does pay for the car, just a litle frustrating. I did the Zaino treatment before I bought the PC because I had no intentions of buying one until yesterday when I bought it.

i'd rather have someone wash the crap off rather than leaving it on. the protein in bird **** is very concentrated, and eats through clearcoats and paint if left on long enough.
i wouldn't worry about your mom using crappy towels and such. if you did the entire zaino system, your clearcoat will be highly protected against the elements and from scratching or swirls of a towel.
