Default shank lugs with stock wheels?

Can I use the shank style lugs on my stock wheels instead of the stock harware?

I've installed the ARP longer studs and my stock lugs are all shot (from pulling the stud through with an impact). Wanted to get new stock ones but the dealer wants 7 bux per nut.

Wondering if I can just use my Bogart shanks (I have a set of D10s) and run them all the time.

Thanks!

go to o'reillys/autozone & tell 'em you need some lugnuts for your car. They sell the stockers for cheap, I wanna say like $2-3. I had to do the same thing when i ruined mine pulling in the ARP studs

No. The shank style lugs are for lug-centric wheels. The stock wheels are hub-centric so you will need "acorn" stock style lugs.

Thanks. I'll have to try that tomorrow.

I like the length of the skank cause it covers up the long stud.
Any one make a long acorn style open end lug?

I have the same problem as you. I can't find an extra long type for a 12mm x 1.5 thread. They make them for 14mm (trucks) but not for our thread--that I know of.

Gorilla makes open ended acorns but they just aren't that long
