Default Yank SS3400 - Will it stall higher with more cubes?

I am going from a mostly stock car to a 402 stroker with L92 heads. What is going to happen to my stall?

Yes it will stall higher. How much we can't say without actually trying it.

Not to hijack the thread. But, will a TC in a 2.73 car stall higher than a 3.42 in a similar car?

In other words, say a 3600 stall 2.5 STR is "perfect" for a mostly stock NA 3.42 car. Should you go 3800 just because you have a slug 2.73 rear end ratio?

Thanks

It will stall several hundred RPM higher than it does now; it's hard to predict how much really.

Poster #2. Same car, only difference being rear gears will stall slightly higher (flash) with the 2.73s compared to the shorter 3.42s.

I would guess ~200 rpm additional stall. I tried two different Yank converters behind my 427 and both would have a shift extension that was 300rpm higher than their advertised shift extension.

I have a vig3600 in my GTO. When I changed from a typical big cam setup to my new twin turbo setup the convertor won't stall less than 5500 rpm (if I'm at 3000 rpm in 3rd and punch it, it flashes to 5500 rpm and holds that rpm until everything catches up). It's way too loose now, so I have an Edge convertor being built to better match my new combo.

It will be looser, it may not foot stall higher but might flash higher.
