Default Big problems, 2 dead LS2 PCM's. Hptuners

I was trying to build a backup PCM for a GTO I have so I got two LS2 GTO junkyard PCM's and tried to do a full re-write.

It did the re-write just fine, and validated the PCM OK but now I have no service engine soon light, no communications with PCM, etc.

Please tell me these PCM's are not toast now.

I take it you have pulled power for a while and tried again?

Otherwise sounds like a job for HPT HQ Support!

Your problem is with the PIM. HP tuners can do a full re-write on the PCM, but it cannot burn the PIM (powertrain interface module) that needs to be done by the dealer with a satelite uplink and a CANdI module. Your PCM's are probably okay, they just need to be programmed to the vehicles PIM.

These are being done on a bench and I have literally done a crapload like this using EFIlive's V2. I've even re-written E40's that where out of completely different vehicles with efilive. Only reason why I used Hptuners is because I had the stock file left over when i started tuning it before EFIlive was out.

I'm thinking theres a problem with Hptuners full re-write..
