Default intake manifold replacement A4 car

I looked at a couple guides, but they all show 6speed cars. If pulling the intake on an A4 car you would have to remove the trans dipstick tube. How do you remove it?

And do I need any gaskets or are they all reusable. I'd rather have the murphy factor stuff when I do the job than chase it down last min.

I am trying the replace a knock sensor.

Thanks

you shouldnt have to remove the dipstick tube.
gaskets on the intake are reusable, unless one is damaged.

watch out for the brake booster line around the oil pressure sensor or you will be getting one of those also

Thanks for the sensor tip tip.

The tube just looked to be a clearance issue as it hangs over the top of half the manifold. It does seam to have some give to it though.

You'll have to bend it a little, but you'll be fine.

BTW if your wondering, the dipstick is held on by one 10MM bolt ( I think 10 ) on the back side of the head, you can get it from underneath, but its a bitch, just bend it a bit.
