I would like to long haul this year and still may, but I will definitley start in cleveland and go to Springfield or Evansville.

When does this start. I would like to make the whole trip but im coming from florida. I missed it last year although i was working in Perry, GA and staying at the same holiday inn as many of the cars so that was cool. i may just make the evansville to little rock but im not sure yet.

I am going to Kalamazoo, Racine and Springfield. I can't wait my first power tour. I definetly up for just about anything and I live only 15 minutes from the Racine's water front.

How about a meetup in Springfield - I am doing Racine to Little Rock, but live near Springfield and am offering camping for the PT'ers also talk of doing a party after the Edelbrock feast - we could do a meetup out at my place(approx 10 miles east of the fairgrounds - Springfields venue)

That sounds pretty sweet. I have two cars coming in my "entourage" A BIG heads/cam 1995 Pontiac Formula on black Fikses (my car) and my parents in their 2006 Nissan Titan (the gear truck).
Can't wait to meet everyone.

Oh and if this party does go down, someone please PM me. I work at the Frito-Lay Headquarters office here in Plano, Texas. I can bring a couple boxes of chips with me for the party.

how about we get some sponsers on ls1tech from like la quinta, or best western and get some group rates on rooms! my first year as well

there was talk of group rates on the Power Tour forum, but couldn't get enough ppl together for the rate. they need alot of ppl at hotels for that, like 20+.

I will get you my hotels that we are going to be at. Alot of times in the evening we all hang out in the parking lot and clean the cars/drink some cold ones. I stayed at hotels that are nice, but fairly cheap to keep costs down.
I'll get you that info here in a minute. I believe each hotel cost around 45.00 to 50 a night.

I've got 3 cars in my crew...we're all from Little Rock, making the long haul...1 turbo ss, 1 403 stroked vette. and a stroked 408 ss...we'd love to mett with anyone and cruise along... :drive:

We can do that - not a whole lot happening 'round here usually(I think FC Customs is doing something for the tour - FYI), and I have noticed from other posts(both here and on the power tour forum) a number of fbody folks only doing a part of the tour but including Springfield...... plus we already have a few PT'ers camping here(one potential fbody ;) )

We are actually out east of Springfield about 13 miles from the fairgrounds at the end of a 1 mile long 1 lane road, so if you can take a few miles of country roads(I do it almost daily though - unless the weather is ugly)

And if it is a go - gonna have to PM TXTA to bring the Fritos ;)

my group should be parked around the comp cams display....a 2000 bandit convertable and spiral gray 04 vette with i forged rims....comp cams or american racing lets us park with them.....keep a look out
