I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but here I go. I have a 98 Z28 with 62,000 miles on the clock that I wrecked about a month ago. The car spun out backwards into a telephone pole going fast enough to wreck the body and frame. The good part is the Trans and motor are fine. I'm looking to sell the motor but I'm not sure how much I should put it up for. It ran strong when it was wrecked and never had any problems whatsoever. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

1500 maybe? I think you could move it pretty fast at that price. Although you might be able to get as much as $2k.

That seems cheap, I saw a few ls1 motor/tranny/harness/brain/accessory swaps in the for sale forum for $2900 and $3000, bout the same miles.

$5, PM me.

Seriously though, that is really a buyers market and you should price high, negotiate down imho. Someone blows their LS1 and needs one ASAP you could get 4500 for it if all they have are you or a new crate LS1, or you may sell for as little as 1500 to some guy who just doesn't care but is the only one who needs an LS1 for some project car he's building.

I'm looking to sell everything except for the tranny. Motor, harness, accessories, radiator, even the steering column and interior parts. The only thing I really want to keep is the tranny for my dodge. I'm hoping for around 2k but if I could get more then of course I'll try.

I say you could sell the motor for $2,500 or a little more depending on how bad the motor is needed.

sounds good, would the parts for sale section on this site be the best place to sell it? I don't want to ship it because that seems like it would be a big headache but I would deliver it if I don't have to drive too far.
