I helped rebuild my 4L60E yesterday!
It's the one in my truck. Here's what i put in it:
"The beast" sunshell
Transgo shift kit
Corvette Servo
High energy band
High energy clutches
Aluminum accumulator pistons
(I think im missing a few other parts but you get the idea)
My truck was shifting funny, and i had a feeling it was on its last leg. Come to find out, a check ball was stuck in the seperator plate and the clutches (all of them) were starting to burn up. I learned how much i didn't know about tranny's by helping rebuild it!
It runs great now! The weak *** 4.8 can actually chirp the tires when it hits second now!

There was a BIG difference in the surface area between the two.

A friend of mine works at a small trans. repair shop in Dickinson called "Butch's trans. and auto". He knows his 4L60e's very well. Just tell him what you have, and what you want it to do, and they can do it. His prices are VERY reasonable, much cheaper than most shops.

Did you bump line pressure?
Did you bump line pressure?
I guess the line press. is increased, im no expert at all on trannys. I assumed that's partly what the transgo does.
