Exactly. I could have rolled right by both of them on my 1k. But that doesn't mean I win because I only spent 9800 bucks.

At the end of the day, he still went home in an SS. While the owner of the GT probably went back to a huge house, with one of the baddest street cars you can buy.

I'm not necessarily just talking about Tond's car...I'm speaking in a general sense...Yeah he did kick his *** though... Although many top-end cars have a lot of cool stuff in them and great horsepower from the factory, they're never going to be able to defeat someone with decent mechanical knowledge and some hard earned green backs... I mean let's face the facts...How often do you think an average GT, Porsche, Lambo, Ferrari, or any other 6 figure car's owner actually works or even tinkers with them??? You'd be more likely to catch syphyllis from a nun than to find one of these owners that mod their own cars (Not saying that they are not out there)...Now how many Camaro, Mustang, Lightning, etc, owners not only change their own oil but install their own headers, heads, turbos, superchargers, and learn how to tune them??? It's the point that one person buys the "fast" car and another person makes their car FAST and walks away happier but just as broke.... No one ever said that speed was cheap....

i agree, i just think its badass when u take a f body that weighs 3500-3800lbs and build it yourself and have 20k-30k including the price of the car and u can beat a car that has such a huge reputation, weighs nothing,has a v10-v12, revs to the moon and cost $100,000-$500,000, all that says is they have entirely to much money. dont get me wrong i would love to drive around in a ferrari, or a lambo; but its when u find a guy like that who thinks hes so badass because he has a car that cost six figures and gets raped by your every day f body(prolli with some kind of FI/N20) that makes all that hard work that u put into it worth it.

No I totally agree... My point was honestly not the money..it's the fact that many believe that they have beat all cars just because they spent a lot to buy it but most can't even drive them in the first place... I agree 100% in that the GT is a badass car...I would never take away from that becaue if I had the money I would definitely have one in my garage... My POINT being that they buy it merely for status but most everyone that is on LS1tech and more specifically the Forced Induction section would own a car like that because it's fast but we would not be able to leave well enough alone...
