My friend was not thinking when he hooked the winch strap when we were putting my car up on his trailer so this is the end result. I beleive the aftermarket ones come round instead of U shaped. I beleive it is called a torsion bar but not sure. I also want to replace the two shorter ones that connect the rear end to the frame. Will I need to replace these when I get a rear end? Gonna be a 9"

Thats the panhard bar. You can get a new one from any of the sponsors.

The other parts you are talking about are the lower control arms. You can get those from Speedinc as well. You will be able to use them on your new rear, too. I would replace them since the stockers are stamped steel with rubber bushings.

thanks for the info, speed inc is a 30 minute drive from my house. What purpose does the adjustable serve? Does the panhard bar have to be replaced with a new rear end?

No, you could use a stock one on a new rear. Yours being bent and all, though....

The panhard bar helps to locate the rear axle under the car and prevents it from moving from side to side. An adjustable one will allow you the flexibility to "locate" your axle for different setups. If you road race, drag race, ect the adjustability will allow you more room to dial your suspension in.

I prefer the non-adjustable since my car is 100% street driven.

Damn... I wish I was 30 minutes away from Speedinc. They are great.

I'd just get an adjustable panhard bar. That way if you lower the car and/or end up running 10.5-11" wide rear rims you will be able to center the axle in the wheel wells.

definetly get an adjustable one, you will be hating yourself if you decide to lower the car further down the road, and have to buy another one to center the rear.

I would probably never lower my car (got Lt's, no clearance), but am still leaning toward the adjustable chrom moly. But damn, almost twice as much money as a standard ph bar.
