Default SLP Pulley + DR Timing Chain

ported ls6 pump, with the double roller chain on my car....am i gonna run into problems with the SLP pulley? been hearing rumours, and search gave mixed results....

I mentioned this in another thread, with a DR your going to have problems with the chain clearance between the oil pump and the chain, before it becomes and issue with your pulley. Most DR's require yo to use a shim to get some more space between the pump and chain. Some people have also reported the chain rubbing on the timing chain cover.

FYI - I'm running an LS2 chain, also known as their "Heavy Duty" timing chain. got it from texas speed for 35 bucks, lots of high hp people use this with no ill effects...

I ran the rollmaster DR with the SLP pulley and ported pump with no problems. DR's come with the spacers for the pump, so you shouldn't have any issues.

jp performance/ asp or slp pulleys and no problems here. did have a '98 motor one time that i had to clearance the timing cover, and use thinner shims to get it to clear the pump bolts.
