First off you'll need to find a way to get a front sump oil pan into the car for the rack will be right in the way of the rear sump pan. Don't know how you'd go about doing that on a traditional small block though. Do some searching on here, there's plenty of threads on putting LS1's into 240's to help give you ideas of what you'll need to do.

Early Novas/Chevy IIs had front sump pans.

Check the thread I have in my sig. for pictures of what I had to do. If you scroll down on page one you'll see some pics of the cross member modifying I did.

In regards to the tranny mount in the following pic you can see waht I did but I'm the only one who was crazy enough to put in the the extra work of creating new mounts that I fab'd up and welded to the bottom of the car so I could use the stock 240SX's tranny crossmember:

Oh, and just go up and type '240sx' into the 'search this forum' listed in the upper right hand corner and happy reading my friend for there's plenty of info to answer most of your questions in those threads.

Do I need a spoon:

Look around and read.

Google it!!!

Might not find the exact thing you're looking for, but adapt what you can find. Not everyone is going to feed it to you.

If you already pulled the motor out of the 240 why not drop the 350 in and find out for yourself. Sometimes it's fun to be the first one to do it and document it for others.

Carb will most likely have a hard time clearing the hood with an air cleaner. I could be wrong, but I do believe the first Gen 350 was physically smaller so I doubt you'll have much problem with any other dimension.

Best bet is to figure it all out for yourself, because in many instances people don't do it the best or easiest way. The worst thing you can do is to feel like you have to do it one certain way because that's rarely the case.

Like stated before...try it yourself. Find a junk block and start playing around.

Look in this thread on Page 1 for the cut out dimensions on the cross member:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...ighlight=240SX

More than likely you will have problems with the distributor, unless you use a very small cap. An HEI will probably be too big. The carb will most likely not fit under the hood.
