what size

i just got some black Z06 wheels (17x9.5) and need to know what size tire will fit nice and not stick too far out. i have been told 245/45/17. plz help if ya can.

Actually, I believe you need the profile to be 40 not 45 to compensate for the change in rim size. Your speedo may indeed be off.

Yes.... 275/40/17 is the proper size for that wheel, and no it will not throw your speedo off since it has the same overall tire diameter as your current stock 245/50/16 wheels which is 25.6"
