What does it take to convert LT1 front end to a LS1 Type Front on Firebird?

Anyone have the part numbers?

I remember a couple threads on here about that, try searching for them, I dont have the link right away, but if no one else has I'll post them when I get off work and get home. IMO, its a waste of money, I almost did it at one point and time. I thought better of it though...save up for an LS1.

2.LH fender
3. Metel brackets to attach fenders to car if there aftermarket 8 total gm#???
4.Hood
5.Bumper rebar (if TA, so foglights will have a place to mount)
6.Bumper absorber(firebird and TA are different from one another)
7.Bumper cover
8.RH headlight assembly(get it used or it gets expensive)
9.LH headlight assembly
10. RH side marker lens
11. LH side marker lens
12. RH DRL lens

This is going into a drag car and the main reason is the lack of 4" coweled hood that are available to the firebirds.... yes i need it for clearance not for looks.....

Well then check out VHN http://www.vfnfiberglass.com/site.htm
They are a sponser and cary 4 inch hoods that fit LT1 firebirds. They also offer front clips in the ls style. There products are great constuction and very lightweight compared to others.

That looks like most of it. You don't need the reinforcement bar though. You can still attach the fog lights with self taping screws and save some money...also if it matters, the bumper cover is abs plastic and not fiberglass. You may want to try calling Contemporary Corvette. They generally sell an entire front clip for the purpose of swaping onto a LT1 car.

The part where the top of the bumper cover mounts is a fiberglass peice that ties into the headlights and core support.

Just look for a roller and get all the parts you need off of it.
I bought an '01 NBM T/A with no engine, trans, or wheels for $900. I sold off the leather interior, rear axle, Ttops, etc and recouped my $900 in no time.
