Hard starts...sometimes
1996 Z28 camaro. new alternator, battery, and plugs. has 120k miles on it. sometimes it just doesnt want to start like its flooding. you can keep trying to crank it and give it some gas and it will eventually. if you stop trying to crank it, it will buck and act like its trying to, and you can hear the intake sucking in air.
Also this *normally* only happens on the first crank of the day or when its really cold outside. when the car does start though black smoke comes out the back. BUT it will drive fine after I get started, and you can turn it off and crank it right up without a problem.
Any ideas on this one guys? Gramps suggested possibly a cold crank sensor

We changed it on my friend's LT1 car in under an hour, just relieve pressure with the schrader valve, may/maynot need the fuel line removal tool, it was TOO long ago. Easily accomplished in the garage, just be prepared for some gas to spill unless you're real careful/lucky I think the directions were on the shoebox site for the f-body, but I can't find the address right now.
