Paint the mirrors or keep them black? Well the opportunity will come when I paint the hood and spoiler and I've always been kinda indecisive with the mirrors.

It could be just me, but I always thought they looked better black. IMHO, they are less noticable black, as opposed to being body color and "sticking out" especially with your dark tint and the B-Pillar being black. Of course, I'm unusual and kind of prefer the side moldings and body lines on the Sunoco hood.

I'm starting to see a lot of biased opinions

Hmm...as far as the exterior goes, the black mirror is the only thing besides the wheels (which you have changed) that distiguishes a 98/99 car from a 00+. So...in that respect...go red! My car is red as well, and it's a 98.... I am starting to think about what to do with it myself.
