Gears & Axles - Swapping Moser 12 Bolt into a 02 T/A w/TCS

Hey Guys. Since winter is here and I would like to get this done before track season starts.

I bought a Moser 12-bolt back in Spring of 2004. For my 1994 z28. My ABS didnt work so I never got the ABS reluctor ring installed and the case was never drilled. Which I think is going to be a great thing.

Options:

33 spline axles
Detriot true trac diff
3.42 gears w/ T/A diff cover
1350 series yoke.

I have since sold the 94 z28 and bought a 2002 T/A and kept the rear. The T/A has Traction Control (TCS) and I want to retain that option. I know I have to swap caliper brackets for the newer LS1 style peices. I beleive I have to remove the shim for the LT1 style brakes.

From what I read that ABS rears with TCS are considered 4 channel and the exciter rings are external and at the ends of the housing. Has anyone done this kind of swap? I have been told that I may have to purchase new axles for this due the exciter ring. I dont have anyone around here with a Moser and 4 channel rear so I could reference the axles. I dont want them to pull it on my account.

I emailed Moser at info@moserenginerring.com if anyone else knows a better email contact let me know.

I just bought a 2000 camaro and swapped the my 12 bolt '96 to the 2000 10 bolt and vise versa and there is not a whole lot to it. I liked the rear brake setup a whole lot more on the '96. I hate the drum parking brake on the 2000 so you just need to swap the parking brake cables from one car to the other b/c the ls1 cables are longer the the lt1. From there you just have to fab up a way to fix the brake lines to the housing. Its a very easy swap the brake lines bolt right up. Keep the lt1 brakes; they are a much easier setup and they do the job just as good. If you have any questions just message me.

Oh ya and the traction control or abs will stay off b/c you won't have the rings. But who really wants traction control!

Update:

I got a email back I have to have the axles sent out to be machined, its like 100 for that and if I want it done right then and there they can do the exciter rings, a new set for 75 bucks, not bad all things considered.
