Don't think they make a tire that will help you dramaticlly on the street? Might want to look into a MT radial or something along those lines.

nitto makes a 315 35 r17 easiest way to find one to fit is just google the size you want and you will come up with some choices

alright thanx man...

but will a nitto even help me out?i have always heard that even though nitto's were better than a "normal" street tire, they still wasn't one of the top brands in the DR worlds as far as traction goes.....what do u guys think?

That's going to be your stickiest drag radial in a 315/35/17 size if you can wait until spring for them.....but they've been "supposedly" coming out with this size for a year now. I have 315 bfg drags and they're pretty damn sticky, I dead hook from a 10mph roll now where I used to put on a smokeshow halfway into second gear on street tires.

A Nitto isn't going to help traction for you at all.

If I were you, I'd put a 335/35/R17 Hoosier Drag Radial on the car. You've got more than enough rim for it, and I think it'd hook you pretty well.

If the 335 makes you nervois, Hoosier just released a 315, as well.

Another alternative for you would be a 26x11.5x17 Mickey Thompson ET Street (NON Drag Radial).

Have you ever driven a Hoosier? I bet not.

Street/Highway is absolutely fine. They likely wouldn't be the best tire in the rain, but driving a 450rwhp car in the rain isn't the best idea in the first place.

Let me rephrase, The bfgs, and nittos are much better dr's for street driving

And i quote
NOT FOR HIGHWAY USE: All Hoosier Racing Tires including DOT labeled Hoosier Racing Tires are designed for racing purposes only on specified racing surfaces and are not to be operated on public roadways.

the car has never seen the rain...and NEVER will

so as for good tires in the rain...dont worry bout that part of it....

i might wait on the M/T's..if they dont come out in the next few months ill give the hoosiers a try

nittos are fine for me, but you have about 90 more to the wheels then me. my friend kyle, NA$TY-TA, had 275/60/15 Mickey Thompson Street Radials on the back of his trans am and he puts more then double what you have to the wheels. on 17psi he put 842rwhp and of course he can go another 10psi. they hooked up fine for him on the road and the track. they would spin for a quick second and then when they got hot, they would dead hook. ive riden in his car many times and he had no problem with them.

A 315 MT radial will probably be your best bet. But, if you dont want to wait for the combo, I suggest what my bro's 423 rwhp SS uses. 315 Sumitomos ($100 a piece) to look nice and cruise, then get stock 16"ers and mount em on a MT radial and it still looks badass and hooks like a mother. The tire your looking for doesnt really exist....yet.

^^yea but i thought that was the fun part? jk. really if you want some good tires, get the mickey thompsons. but they definetly wont last long. youll get maybe 8 or 9k miles out of it, but you dont daily drive it anyway. get the street radial, the compound they are made out of is a great street tire. i luv them and as i said early a 900hp car has no problem with them. not that expensive either. my 275/50/15's were like $160 a piece.
