Default What can be done to an LM4-P?

A buddy of mine has a 2003 SSR with the 5.3 liter LM4-P engine (327 cid). He's curious as to what he could do to it to get more power. What he wants to know is...can you swap camshafts and heads in these motors and what is available out there and how different are they from LS1's. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Its a Generation III SBC just like the LS1 and LS6.

He can do anything he wants to it. Cam, Intake manifold, headers, exhaust.

Get a CAM in that thing ASAP.

So all these parts they sell for LS1's will bolt on no problem? LS6 intake? Camshafts from TR, TSP?

Thats correct all of the aftermarket intake manifolds and cams are interchangable on all gen III small blocks. Some of the intakes require slight modifications but nothing major.
