Default Lets talk 98 fuel systems

I was just trying to install the Texas-Speed fuel pump and wiring harness upgrade. Nothing seems to be going together the way it should. Is there anything different as far as the entire sending unit goes on a 98 car compared to a 99 up? I know that the gas tanks are different, the 98 being metal and 99 up being plastic, but why wont my kit fit together like it should?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Zach

Is your wiring harness upgrade specific to a 98? If not your going to have problems.

the booster wiring harness isnt the problem, it is the 2 wire harness that goes from the pump to the top of the sending unit. those plugs are different.

i had to cut mine and solider (sp) it... i even called them and asked them if it all plugged in and they said yet.. i put the pump between the factory buckets and then bent the end of the hanger assmebly up to keep it in... use a big hose clamp and clamp it to the hanger... and let the return hose run back over the pump will help cool it..i cut the return alittle shorter so it would drop onto the pump

Thats ok. I started putting the pump back in after that last post and put the tank back in. I thought I would never get the pump assy back in. I was so pissed. then I finally got it in and then I thought I would never get the tank straps back in. now I got it in and I'm sick at my stomach and pissed.
I swore I would never put this tank back in again and would get a fuel cell but that didn't happen because my racecar buget got cut short and that made me more pissed.

Sorry I'm just LOL
