please tell me this was worth it i bought stage 2 ported heads cast number 853 aftermarket Z06 style valves, milled 30 thousandths, comes with comp 918 springs. i have a 99 camaro z28 that these will be going on, im really hoping you say its worth it cause i just bought them, but if not i will try to sell them again. i paid 700 for them. will it be a noticeable difference? please let me know they should be here in a week or so.

dosen't sound like a terrible deal for 700. If I was you, i'd sell the 918's, and put in dual valve springs before you put the heads on. That way, you can run a high lift camshaft later, plus, you can sell the 918's for some $$$

Yeah what's done is done.
On the plus side ported 853 heads are better than stock ones. But the 918 springs will limit cam choice unless you swap them out for better ones. But on a 2nd hand setup I'd do that regardless.
Places like TSP sell brand new ported LS6 casting heads with better springs for $900-1000 depending on specifics. These would be better heads as well as newer and with warranty.
But like I said at least what you've got is still an improvement over stock.

yeah i can always try to sell them again if you think it would be worth it. is the ported ls6 heads alot better than the 853 heads? i couldnt find any ls6 heads for a decent price. i didnt even think about looking a tsp. thanks alot .
