Default I'm Retarded!!

i bought a short throw and in order to put it in, you need to take off the console. well you need to lift the ebrake completely up so its actually vertical to slide the console off.. In doing so i snapped the e-brake cable lol.. I didnt even do it hard..

So now i cant even idle or the car will roll..How hard is this to fix? Is all i need is a new wire?? i have no idea how to fix this problem

I never took off my console to put on my short stick. I pulled off the boot and removed the shifter pretty simple. You must have never used the e-brake before. You can wire it back together is you want not hard or replace the cable that broke.

Yeah my friend did it on his Camaro and all he had to do was take off the shifter and boot. How high did you pull up the e-brake.

I've taken the consoles out of Camaro plenty of times and never had a problem. To fix it I'd just go to a junk yard and get the parts you need.

It's not that easy on all cars. On mine I had to take off the sound deadening rubber boot where the bolts are nearly on the SIDE of the tranny tunnel. On my old LT1 something strang would happen, the e-brake would sometimes hardly go up at all, something that felt like self adjusting. If I tried to pull on it it would've probably snapped. Good luck on the fix, which shifter did you get.
