Default iforged aeros vs. ar rebels

does anyone here like the rebels better than the aeros? Is the $2000 extra worth it for the aeros?

Yes, if you can afford a 3 piece, hell even a 2 piece FORGED BILLET wheel like the Aeros. How can you even compare a mass produced wheel by a company like AR?

Big difference in quality, finishes, etc. If you have the cash, and you like the Aeros....DO IT.

You won't regret spending the money once you've got them in front of you. When on the other hand, you might end up in a situation thinking, "you know, I wish I had spent the extra $$$".

I bought Boyd Coddington - BC Forged "Tuned" wheels first. The quality was crap, one wheel was bent badly from the get go. I returned them for my money back, and called Vince at iForged. Great guy to deal with, and the wheels YELL for attention.

You'll get more compliments than you know what to do with. Even someone who doesn't cars, is going to see a wheel like the Aero and think wow..$$$$.

Take the plunge my friend.

Keep buying new wheels every few years or spend the extra $2000 now and get what you really want.

There are inexpensive wheels that look good, but I wouldn't consider the rebels one of them. TT2s and HP Racing Evos are inexpensive and look nice. I got just as many compliments on my 19" EVOs and TT2s as I do my iForged and other pricey wheels.

The rebels have a very awkward shape to the end of the wheel spoke where it flares out near the wheel lip. That is the biggest problem I have with them, the second being the quality of the chrome fround on American Racing wheels in general. The 17" wheels look even worse than the 18" ones do with the stepped lip as it makes them look like a 16" or even a 15" wheel. I saw a Mustang yesterday at the Autorama show with 17" Rebels on the front and 18" on the rear and it looked like 2 different whees were on the same car.

Like Tony said there are much better looking wheels out there in the budget price range of the AR Rebels.

I guess it is something I will have to see in person or something because in pictures they both look like great rims. By the way SS LS1, I have always loved your car

And as others have said... if you dont get the wheels you really want, you'll eventually regret it. Of course with that said, they are expensive and in the end its your car and your money!
