Default Morel vs Comp lifter difference... pics inside

I know there have been some people that have asked about the difference between Comp (or similar stock style) and Morel lifters. As they say, pics are worth 1000 words......

The Morel is the larger lifter.... the smaller is a Comp OEM lifter.

There are a lot of things you can't see in the photo's. Better internal tolerances, better roller bearings, the roller is slightly larger and is made from a higher grade steel. With the Morel's, there is a reason they are a lot more money. From your photo, you can also see the height of the upper bore diameter that rides above the oil gallery.

Mmmmm Morel. From what I hear they are much stronger and reliable compared to the Comp's.
