Default slicks? wrinkle walls?

ok, i know 275/40/17 tires fit on 17x9 rims. so if i was to get rims 16x8 or what ever smaller rim, what drag slick size would i get? i only ask because they dont seem to come in the size of 275/40/17 style of advertising.

i havent ever seen a slick in a 17" wheel size, but i do know M/T makes an E/T street in 26/11.5/17 for a 17 x 9 wheel...

and several companies make drag radials for the 17" wheels...

Go with the 16's. Will give you more sidewall deflection and better traction.
