General Maintenance & Repairs - car wont run need help bad!!!!

today when I left the store my car started up fine but as soon as I put in in gear it kept wanting do die and it did. I started it up again and in park it was fine but as soon as I put it in reverse or drive it would idle extremly low for a few seconds and then just die. It was one hell of a task just to get back home every time I slowed down the car would idle low and try to die. The only reason it did not die was because I would put it in Nuetral and give it gas. If I did not do that It would have died every time. Any thoughts.

I have been experiencing a similar problem. Mine actually feels like the car is surging when coming to a stop and if it doesn't surge, it won't catch idle and it'll die. Mine doesn't do it all the time though. I'm going through my own checklist now to rule out anything mechanical.

IAC or maybe a vacuum leak.
