The question is too vague, and most likely answered by a search.

And thanks for your input guys. Tryin to plan what to buy for a new forged engine can be hard lol. TS6 i did try a search first and noticed that most people just go with an Iron block and wanted to see were they got them and why. Along with the other people who didnt go with iron blocks.

Id say if you go iron block, go 402 or 408, seems to be the most popular and best bang for the buck.

If you stay aluminum, go with a 383 or whatever will fit in the stock block (crank wise).

Arent the warhawk blocks aluminum too? If so, and you have enough money for that, get that... 511+ CI with 6 bolts per head!!

cheapest easiest way to go is stock cubed forged block. It will handle 1000 hp easy and cost 3500 bux.

with bigger cubes you gotta get heads too which runs into more money.

depends on what you want.

i had my stock block forged here locally with callies rods/diamond pistons and ARP everything.

On a exact duplicate block in another car , it withstood 900 + rwhp horsepower. Its a red corvette at texas speed n perf twin turbo plus juice.

Take this advice and you can't go wrong. My motor is being rebuilt right now in the above direction can't go wrong and can make up to 1000 hp.

Well im gonna be gettin a 6.0 liter 370 cu in iron block from TSP or an iron block from speedinc with forged internals. I was gonna stay with the stock block and just forge that, but after talking to some sponsers, they recommended an iron block cause it holds boost a little more safe than an aluminum block. Talk to a few sponsers, thats prob the best route to go.

yea on the front nose.

Unless you plan on making over 1200 hp you dont need an iron block. Plus they retain heat like a ****.

Stock displacement and stock crank get you plenty of power.

Are these blocks iron or aluminium? I was kinda leaning towards Iron now it seems to be a more common and proven route for boosted apps am i right?

So you have the stock block from your car and forged internals right? How much power do you plan on making? Keep us informed on the build!

your stock ls1 block is aluminum and for the record nobody has had a failure boosting an aluminum block.

the reason some have gotten into iron blocks was because they were cheaper than the aluminum and they gave up free cubes.
