How to tell the diference between LS1 / LS6 intake The search is not working for me... possibly operator error...
Anyways how can I tell the difference between the LS1 and LS6 intake manifold without taking it off and looking at the bottom? Is there a visable part number like on the heads (i.e. 241/243). Im just tryin to figure out without haveing to take the manifold off just to check. Thanks for the help.
I know my friends WS6 came with a LS6 manifold but his is a 2002 so and from what i heard 2001 had some LS6 parts but it was a smaller %

iff you can see the bottom of the intake from the front- wich im sure you can , if you look.. the ls6 will be straight with no waves from left to right... the ls1 will have a wave and theres another thing to check besides the vent lines but i forget(the vent lines arent a good way to check unless you know the car hasnt been modified) all the ls6 needs to have to work with the ls1 under manifold vent line is alil meeting with a dremel.
