Default LME 408ci with Kenne Belle

My friend is restoring his 1968 Camaro.Car currently has a GM performance parts 502,well the motor is sold,so plans are either a 427 with LS7 top end or a 408ci with a Kenne Belle supercharger. What would be your pick and why.Car is a protouring car with AC and big 335/30s in the back 4.10s with T56.He just wants a strong daily driver and eat his cake too.

408 with a 3.3 KB...

Another guy had 800 ft/lbs of tq at 2000 rpms and spun the tires within 200 rpms in third gear at 15mph, lol.

Agreed the 408 and KB will have way more power and be just as reliable for a daily driver. Don't they make a larger KB than 3.3?

Not sure, I know that the 3.3 was the test mule for that 402...

They had a 2.6 and 2.8 I believe for the cobras, not sure whats available for vettes and other LS1 applications (assuming it fits under the hood)

Oh man, blow that *****! I'll tell you it'll catch my attention more than an ls7 clone would and just the sheer torque would be awesome for that set up.

I thought the 3.3 was a whipple, and the 2.8 was the KB on the vette that made all that sick power.... I also want to say I saw something on whipple's site a little while ago about a 5 liter blower? W305AX is what it says on the site, and it says it's 5 liters, but I'm still not sure if I'm hallucinating. if that's real I wanna see it on something

whipple had the 3.3ltr blower and ran it on a LS1 that went into the back of a sand rail. the KB that went into American HP's car was the prototype 2.8ltr unit that i think they willbe/are selling now.

i would def go for the KB and either a 402 or the 408. will be a monster if he plans on building it like AmericanHP did! he even used the stock LS6 cam (i think)!

thanks Chris.
