Default Help Painting Aluminum

I'm looking for some advice on something I know nothing about. Painting. Just got an aluminum intake manifold, satin finish, so I'd like to get some paint on it before I install it. So what are the steps? Do I need to sand? Wet sand? Primer? What temp rating for the paint? Thanks in advance!!

Check out the new Paint and Body Work forum. Should get lots of good advice there.
