Default clutch engagement is getting worse...

Well the car had barley been driven but a week ago I started my car and it was engaging super low, the pedal came up a little bit after driving around and pumping the pedal. Now 8 days later I started the car again and the pedal is even worse, it barley has enough spring to come back on its own I cant even get it into gear with the car on. I have a new oz700 with barley 300 miles on it. Is this a bleeding problem. I havent been home long enough to mess with the car but now Im home and will try bleeding it again. Can air in the system cause these problems and why is it gettin worse, could I have a leak somewhere? Im pretty confused.

If it gets better by driving around and depressing the pedal several times...sounds like a bleed issue. Probably air in the master cylinder.

Thats what I am thinking. I did not bleed the master before putting it in and it had been sitting awhile. The only thing that gets me is why does it get worse if it sits...like more air is geting in from somewhere, but I have not fluid leaks.

I have a mysterious air leak too....I think. Sometimes my hydraulics will work great, but most of the time I don't get full clutch disengagement.

My master has about 20K on it and my slave has about 13K on it. The slave is '01-'02 style and the master is from a local parts store.

Yes, I do.
Sometimes, usually in the morning on during the first 5-10mins of driving, the clutch will engage/disengage @ about 1/2 the pedal travel.
When it gets warmer(or the air works its way out of the system->my idea) it will then start to engage/disengage at the top of the pedal travel.

I have repaired a few cars with random low engagement points. They all had loose PP bolts. The PP would occasionally sit on the dowel pins causing the low pedal

PROBLEM is fixed. Dropped the tranny and found a few pressure plate bolts werent very tight and were not torqued properely. So far with 60k miles on her she is running and shifting like a champ.
