Changing Timing Chain Without Doing a Cam Swap
Have any of you ever replaced your timing chain without swapping your cam? My car has relatively low mileage, so I've never felt it was really necessary to change the chain when I've swapped cams in the past, but I'm getting ready to add some heads so the extra insurance would be a little more valuable now.
I'd particularly like to know if the radiator and AC condenser have to be removed to get the crank pulley off. It's been a while since my last cam swap, so I can't recall how much room the pulley puller had.
Thanks,
Josh
