Default Two stall questions....

Is it possible to have a stall too big for what u have?

Also does running 2.73 gears with a 3500 stall put a ton of strain on a tranny?

of course it is possible to have too much stall

i think the point is to get in the rpm where you make the most tq
and keep it there
but not skip over it

if you had an old turd that peaked at 2800rpm
it would make sense to get like a 2600 (2800?) stall
get a 3500 and you'll pass up the rpm where you make power

but since these cars kick *** at 4400
it makes sense to skip (slip?) over the first 3500-4000rpm

notice people who make power at even higher rpm (big cam setups)
will have crazy stalls.. 5000, 5500

By the looks of your setup you have the perfect stall for a street strip setup. Ya the stalls purpose it to keep you in the cams powerband.

Less rear gear will make the transmission/converter work harder, yes.

a 3.08 would be much better and a 3.23 is ideal
