Well I put a Fuddle 3400/2.1 in last week, and I love the performance of it so far, but I would like to know what shift kit to put into it to solve my noise issue. I have only drove it less than 50 miles since I put the new engine and stall in but it has noise issues when it trys to lock up. The instructions that came with the stall say to put a shift kit in it to address the issue. As far as I can tell TransGo seems to be the kit to go with, but there are two kits, and neither one of them say anything about PWM adjustment. I emailed Fuddle but got no response from them. As a side note I hope that there products are better than the customer service. I emailed several times before I bought the converter and got no response, finally called and ordered one over the phone, but no emails after the product was bought have been responded to. Oh well, live and learn I guess. I am ready for spring so that I can try this out now. Really crappy weather and the SS is sitting in the garage with a new GM engine and converter waiting to get out. Any help with the shift kit would be great. Thanks.

Yes the Transgo HD 2 does address it im not sure about the JR kit.

Presumably you want shiftpoint tuning and lockup point
adjustment so maybe just get the TCC min duty and max
duty bumped to 98% and 99%, plus have the low-load
line pressure bumped up a little (or TCC-applied line
adder if your tuner & car model year support the more
direct fix for TCC pressure starvation).

Depending on how wimp the clutch, software alone may
suffice (not quite for my TCI, way over-stout for the Fuddle
"HP/Street" with the mondo clutch, dunno about the
vanilla version Fuddles).

Are you saying to bump up the min TCC duty cycle to 98% across the board ?? Casue mine min TCC duty cycle is set depening on KPa and TFT is between 8 and 21

If you don't need the grandma style apply for personal comfort
then just bang it.

But even 100% of hardly nuthin', is still short pressure for a
smaller radius clutch. And 0% is what you'll see the PCM
commanding for line pressure even at highway cruise, light
grade kind of loads. This is where I had the worst slip
before and had to jack up toe pressure by reducing force
motor current there. I recommend a more sophisticated
approach if you have one, but nothing broke yet.

Well now I'm even more confused. Do I have to have it tuned as well? I kinda hoped that I could get away with just a shift kit to start out with. I want to have it dyno tuned this spring, but planned on doing some more stuff before I had it tuned. Thanks for all the help.

They way I understand it, it may be a combo of both.. Or the way I see it could be completer programmed out by raising your TCC min/max duty cycly to 100%..

The Transgo shift kit eliminates PWM, period. It will give you firm, positive, lock-up. You won't need to fiddle with force motor tuning, etc.

yes it will and the lockup will feel like a shift also if the trans is not in car remove the encapsulated check ball from the input shaft makes it feel and work very nice

I would still recommend a tune to better the driveability of the car (raise lockup speeds with this HD-2 kit, I assure you will want to).
