I had the LS6 with 426rwhp and beat the hell out of it on the street for 15k and when I pulled it it looked brand new and I resold it for 250!!! I would highly recommend the lS6 for a bolt on car. It feels like stock and there will be no issues with it like a centerforce or spec and such.

I have a DF in a 4,000lb GTO with a D1SC @ 550+ rwhp. I just took the motor apart for a rebuild, and after 10,000 miles it still looks really good!! I am putting it back in.

The only advice that I can offer is DON'T GO WITH THE CENTERFORCE!!!! They are pieces of ****, I put one in mine at 20,000 miles and took it out at 40,000...after I tore out third gear synchro in the tranny...That happened because the clutch would not release at any RPM after 5 grand....It also had a terrible vibration because all the wieghts on the pressure plate slide to one side.....When I pulled it out 2/3 of it had wear on the disc and PP and the other 1/3 looked new still....Guess where it was clamping uneven....I have been a mechanic for most of my life so I know that it was not due to improper installation....I now have a Cartek and love it.....I have a buddy with a Stang running NOS and he made many hard passes and drove it daily with a RAM, so they must be pretty good....

I bought a LS7 clutch, and flywheel from the dealer for $407 a couple weeks ago, I guess it helps to know people. So, hopefully this will be the clutch that makes me happy for a while. Thanks for the votes, i guess. Everything regarding clutches on this board is just bozo, everything seems to be speculation or biased opinions. I wish this problem could get sorted out, but i doubt it ever will.

Just installed the LS7 and it's great!! On the downside, you gotta have an LS2/LS7 flywheel to use it.

My buddy has full boltons and a 100 shot and his ls6 clutch is taking it like a champ. I also have a few more friends that run ls6's as well as spec stage 2+ and 3 all with good results. I run a 2+ with full boltons and am very happy. For you, I'd say stick with the LS6 clutch for sure.

my stock LS1 clutch was taking 5000-5500 launches like a champ for about a yr or so and just finally started to slip, don't have really good (accurate) numbers as the car still needs to be tuned, last dyno was 380, and now there is a vibration in the pedal do guess the throwout is going out. Can't believe the stock clutch held up that long and still does great for daily driving and ripping it up on the street. I am going to be getting a new clutch soon and will probably be going with the LS7/LS2 set up keeps getting good reviews
