Default Which K member for an ls1/fox swap?

I was all set to use an AJE w/ interchangable mounts(you can get for an LS1), but I see some people saying you get great engine setback w/ a 94+ 4.6 K member. Is anyone currently using the AJE LS1 K member, how close does your motor sit to the firewall? Thanks

PA Racing makes the best K-member you can buy! PM me if you need any help or if you're looking to have anything done. I beleive I'm going to be building myself a 347 Turbo LS1 Notch here this winter

The 96-98 AJE K-member (not the Fox 4.6 swap unit, the actual 96-98 unit) sets the LS1 about 3/4" off the firewall. Its as far set back as you can get without actually modifying the firewall. Perfect, in my opinion.

Forward in the wheel openings, yes. It hasn't proven a problem for me at all though, wheels still fit just fine and don't rub. I did need to extend the steering shaft, but that's pretty trivial.

I am using AJE tubular K for 4.6 swap for foxbody. I am also using stock 4.6 motor mounts with the single side of the mount extended about an inch. Fit perfect in my opinion, esp when you can re-use the factory adjstable crossmember for the trans with no modifications but the bolt holes for the mount.

Also I have about 3/4" space between the k-member and oil pan.

Just recieved my custom k member from AJE made for LS1 fox swap. It has options of moly / mild steel construction with solid or poly motor mounts. Only downfall is the 4-5 week build time. Well worth the wait there is at least 3/4 inch clearance across from the oil pan and it sits about 1 1/2 - 2" from the firewall. My cost was $559 shipped moly / with solid mounts Perfect Fit
