Anyone ever done it? How hard is it if you have the full 1999 car there to swap to the older the car? Just curious.

It's not to bad if you have a person to help. You will need to splice/rewire a couple things. You will also need a cluster out of a 97.

I couldn't take EVERYTHING out of the LT1 car and replace it with all LS1 stuff? gas tank, pcm, harnesses... everything?

It might be possible but it would be a hell of alot easier to just get a 97 cluster.

Well yeah it would work fine if you transplanted the LS1 engine/everthing. I thought you were talking about replacing all that stuff just to upgrade the dash.

Well, i have a perfectly fine 99 z28, with a trashed body (flipped) But drivetrain and interior are perfect.

So i figured if i could find a v6 93-97 (better looking anyway) in good condition with a blown motor or just cheap with a good body, i could get it all out, and swap everything.
