My brother drives a Stock 97 Trans Am WS6 6spd and his buddy drives a stock 04 Mustang GT 5spd.. he is wanting to know who will win in a race... his buddy keeps calling him out but i have to replace his clutch.. When the clutch is fixed he said hes gonna race him regardless. he just want to know which car is faster

The trans am will win unless the stang is supercharged, then it will be even/mustang's win. Its a driver's race..

Pretty much, Depends on how well each other can shift. This is all speculation, the real test is to do it then report back with your findings.

it depends on your definition of "stock"

Mustang stock = gear, exhaust, program/tune. f-body stock = lid, exhaust

bone stock, or bolt-on "stock" it'll be about 95% driver and 5% car. on a level playing field with 2 good drivers, the Mustang will take the T/A out of the hole, but the T/A has a really good chance of catching the Mustang on the big end. 1/4 mile is the T/As best chance. 1/8th mile, the Mustang will win every time.
