The z06 is bone stock. The ss is mine with mods in sig. The guy thinks the z06 is a full blown drag car. Who do you think will win? By the way im gonna be on motor.

Z06 off the spray, you if you spray...z06 is lighter than you and most will trap 116 mph+ bone stock so if he can drive he should have you off the spray by a few cars. On the spray you will walk him.

i would say you, but depending on weight also. But anything can happen (miss a gear etc) that can cost you the race.

both are 6 speed and stock weight. I think I can pull him, but i need some input

What do you trap on motor? z06 is alround 3200 pounds so he will be a couple hundred pounds lighter than you unless you have a lightened car. Also, again most z06's will trap over 116 mph stock, so if its a roll race be ready to lose on motor if your not trapping at least 116 mph.

untuned it went 12.35, but now its tuned and that is on motor

In the hands of a great driver, the c5 z06 in stock trim off the lot is capable of high 11 sec 1/4 mile times. On the freeway in high speed pulls the corvette enjoys a significant weight/aero advantage.

I'm assuming from your sig that you have stock ls1 heads that have had a port job done. If it was a top notch job you have some advantage over his ls6 heads. Also, your cam is slightly larger than the ls6 cam. But your 3.73 gears give you no advantage, because the z06 m12 transmission mated with 3.42 gears is almost equivalent to the mn6 transmission with 3.90 gears.

So...

Heads - slight advantage to you
Cam - slight advantage to you
Transmission/gearing - slight advantage to him
Weight/aero - slight advantage to him

It's going to come down to how well he can drive.

12.35 untuned is equivalent to the average stock z06 1/4 mile time. You should be faster now, so if he's simply average or below average you should win.

Well if you went 12.35 untuned im sure you either hitting 12's flat or high 11's depending on how much the tune helped so id say with your gears and a sticky tire in the 1/8th I would give you the nod with comprable drivers. Let us know how it turns out!

i think you'll win. vettes are the farthest thing from dragsters, so in the 1/8th, i think you'll take him. just whatever you do, POST THE RESULTS haha.

I think you will take him. Aftermarkets cams and ported heads and mated with better flowing exhaust (headers) give the engine more low end grunt and better power under the curve so unless you fuck up you fuck him up.

is there a reason you have h/c and NO headers?

from your mods in your sig... you have 373 gears, the z06 has 410s and is a 3150lbs car. a stock ls1 M6 car weighs just under 3400lbs. you have a 100 shot and his is BONE stock... you'll take him granted you shift w/o missing or sit and burn rubber.

I'd say drivers race due to the weight advantage with the z06. you gotta get some LT's and then a retune! it would make your car sick. good luck

not really..... he didnt do that bad... it was my uncle.
both tires had traction issues..... if both had good drivers...
id say it would be neck and neck.
